LumiCam 1300 Mono and Color - fast measuring systems for versatile applications
The LumiCam 1300 Color imaging photometer and colorimeter captures complex luminance and color distributions of displays and electronic panel graphics within seconds.
The measuring systems of the LumiCam 1300 series use a high-quality CCD sensor with 1370 x 1020 pixels. A calibrated luminance, and possibly a color value, is assigned to each pixel during the measurement. This results in the creation of two-dimensional images presenting the spatially resolved measurement values coded for brightness or color.
The LumiCam 1300 Color uses four filters to adjust the camera to the eye sensitivity functions x̄, ȳ, z̄. This enables the instrument to take significantly more accurate measurements than colorimeters with only three filters, because it has two separate filters to display the red and blue wavelength range of the x̄ function.
The included image-processing software simultaneously analyzes the recorded data. This gives the user immediate access to a large number of measured quantities. The comprehensive software package with specially developed analysis tools permits easy further analysis of the measuring results for all areas of application.
Interchangeable objective lenses with adjustable focus and variable aperture offer solutions to accommodate a wide range of different requirements for measuring distances, measuring resolution and image field size.
The LumiCam 1300 Mono is a luminance camera, specially designed for applications that do not require any colorimetric information.

All LumiCam 1300 models are based on advanced Interline CCDs with electronic shutter. The advantages against Full-Frame-Transfer (FFT) CCDs with mechanical shutter are greater robustness and minimal blooming. The characteristics permit a multi-exposure operating mode in which several images are taken at different exposure times and then merged to create a single image. This permits precise measurement of even very large differences in luminance within a scene.
